Barbara Mizell

Ms. B is a native of Winter Haven and is a past Miss Winter Haven (affiliate of the Miss America Program).

She began her dance studies at the age of 3 at Taylor Studio of Dance Arts in the very building that she now

owns and calls BCFD. She continued her formal dance training throughout college - spending many of her summers studying in New York City at the Joffrey Ballet and Broadway Dance Center under the instruction

of David Howard, Frank Hatchett, Judy Bassing, Henry LeTang and Gregory Hines, to name a few.

Some of her honors include National All-American Junior and Senior Dance Champ, Star Search Semi Finalist and Numerous State, Local and National Pageant Titles. Some of her professional experience includes state and national dance competition judge, guest dance teacher and speaker of studio business, MGM Dancer for grand opening promotions and television commercials, Walt Disney World, Dollywood, Miss USA, Orlando Magic, and been honored to tour with several broadway productions. Ms. B is a cum laude graduate from Florida Southern College, holds a B.S. Degree in Elementary and Secondary Education and has a minor in dance with an emphasis in choreography. She is also a certified dance educator.

When asking Barbara what her greatest accomplishment is she will tell you that out of everything that I have done - Barbara's Centre' for Dance is "truly the cherry on top"! She never imagined owning a dance studio, however, she feels that teaching dance is what she was put on this earth to do! Her complete passion in life is dance and spreading the love and appreciation for it!

In her spare time she enjoys working out, reading and shopping. Most of all she enjoys spending time with her wonderful family and awesome friends!
